Jewish Americans are another reliable voting block, like Blacks and Hispanics, for the Democrats. I wonder how that's workin out for them today?????

Before leaving Florida I belonged to a Jewish Community center for their sports.
I asked a couple of the guys about this and none had a good answer except for Republicans are mean.
I wish I could ask them today after all the dem support for Hamas.

Elitism probably. Conservatives are stupid, people of the land, etc. Historically I have little doubt that "not being part of those people" played a significant role.
But I think "uh, because that's what we do" is the answer you'd get from a lot of honest American Jews. I worked with a super nice black girl from Odessa Texas years ago and we'd talk about politics. I'd regularly do the exercise where I'd get her to take a stance on 10-20 issues and then ask why she votes for the party on the opposite side of those issues.
"Because we just do!"

For whatever it's worth of the Jewish people I know, this is the answer. In the past it was more because Jews saw themselves, and in fairness were seen by others, as a minority in the same way as blacks or Asians and so they voted for the party that represented a lot of minorities. Now though at least among the ones I know it's basically just a reluctance to even be associated with the Maga types they look down on.

Non practicing American Jews were one of the first groups indoctrinated by Democrats.
The party switch myth also fricked up a lot of people.
The Democrats who proudly dressed up in klan gear and berated Jews and blacks... all of that shite was eventually laid at the feet of the Republican party. Gathering information was extremely limited back then, so people just believed that propaganda...and passed that bullshite to their children and so on. By the time a lot of people were able to look into the party switch myth, and realized it was all bullshite meant to give the Democrat party a fresh start, the indoctrination had already went through several generations. ..and became a 'universal truth ' in the minds of the indoctrinated.
