This. It's all about money. They take wealthy kids of oil sheiks or Chinese businessmen who will pay massive tuition fees. They don't give a frick about American students.
I'm fine with some foreign students, but it should not surpass 10% in my opinion. 50% is a slap in the face to Americans.

55 % is not really that bad, when you get into Masters and Doctors degrees its closer to 95 %. Issue is foreigners are supported by their country of origin while US BS graduates need to get a job

It's not just the Ivy's doing this. UW-Madison has seen a large increase in out of state and foreign students over the past few decades.
