Being clean when you plant is a huge help.

Gramoxone, Metolachlor, and Sulfentrazone on the day you plant. Plant and spray a couple days in front a good chance of about a 1+” rain.

Select and Zidua over the top within about 3 weeks of planting. I can’t remember if you can spray metolachlor over the top, but metolachlor will be a good bit cheaper than Zidua… But Zidua is the tits for residual control.

It’s tough to not have a few broadleaf escapes, but being clean at the start and not waiting too long on your second application (overlapping residuals) will get you a long ways in growing sunflowers.
