You don’t need a 46 inch vertical athleticism to dominate the nba past or present. For a big man, all you need is solid fundamentals, high level court awareness and passing to put pressure on defense, good shooting, body positioning inside the paint. Look how effortless when Jokic commands the offense. It doesn’t look like he’s breaking a sweat.

I'll add, players who do live above the rim historically suffer more injuries, miss more games and get nannied with load management.
