Feels like the law should include some kind of buffer year(s) to cover this kind of situation. Like other have said, this 3 yr gap which imo isn’t that big to begin with considering holding kids especially boys back is much more commonplace could be MUCH smaller depending on when their respective birthdays are.

You can tell there are a lot of former 20 something year old weirdos who still hung around high school kids here
