Last year Georgia: 29-27 (11-19) had an RPI hovering around 40. Like LSU, they played a strong SEC schedule. One that included winning series against Kentucky and Tennessee, along with sweeping Arkansas. They didn't make a regional

LSU is on pace for a better overall record than 2023 Georgia. But it will be against a weaker NC schedule. LSU currently has an RPI of 42. Also, LSU hasn't won any SEC series of note. Beating Missouri and Auburn won't move the needle.

Bottom line is this: The next two weeks will likely determine LSU's season. If they can take 2/3 vs. Alabama and A&M, they will have a decent shot of sneaking into a regional. Lose both series, and you can pretty much close the book on postseason play.

If LSU gets to 13 wins their rpi will improve drastically. They are almost a lock if they do this.

LSU will get in a regional at 13-17, regardless of how it happens over the next 3 weeks

Now the question is, can LSU go 6-4 over the next 3 SEC weekends?

If they were to somehow take 2 of 3 from a&m, and get to 13 wins. They may have a shot.

13 wins with series wins against bama, Ole Miss, auburn, and mizzou. Doubtful that they make it.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that. LSU would have to go 5-4 for that. That’s winning one against A&M and then winning the series against Bama and Ole Miss. Thats not “on pace” with our actual record or with how we’ve played so far.
