It burned down Saturday.
I saw the huge plums of black smoke while we were playing a soccer game less than a mile away at 1100am saturday, and we passed by after the game and they were still spraying the place with water from one of the fire trucks. We could hear the sirens from all the fire trucks during our game. they had to have like 15 fire trucks over there when we passed.

To be fair.. I don’t give a frick about what you think.
To be fair.. this is a message board.. on this message board, someone talked about how destin has amazing food options.. and to be fair, I responded with firsthand knowledge that whoever thinks that is wrong.
To be fair - you sit on here all day bitching about housing and real estate like you are some pro at it.. it’s no different than you bitching about that shite all day (to be fair)
To be fair.. this is a message board.. on this message board, someone talked about how destin has amazing food options.. and to be fair, I responded with firsthand knowledge that whoever thinks that is wrong.

Knew the founder Tom from when he was an engineer on Eglin. Great guy.
Was a sad day when he passed.
I haven't been there in several years. Was popular for luncheons and gatherings. Sat at the bar watching the staff a few times. Best seat in the house.
I believe his wife sold it at some point.

We usually eat what we catch from offshore or heaven forbid go to the fish market but always go to Louisiana Lagniappe on our last night. Kinda a tradition that started with family members that are no longer with us. However it’s been a while since we have been to Destin so not sure if the Double L is still operational. We have kinda moved on to better places but still miss the fishing to a degree, we have some awesome AJ spots.
