To turn that on its side, do airlines need to redo the interiors of all its planes to conform to the hyper-obese? Ticket costs suck now. Fitting fewer people on a flight because someone can’t put the fork down is going to get expensive

The airline sells a ticket to a passenger. They need to make sure that each passenger can sit comfortably.

Just curious. What's your cutoff for how large the person is before it's not the airline's responsibility to provide a comfortable seat??

300#
400#
500#
600#??

Should the airline be responsible to put cargo doors on all 737s so you can forklift a fatass into their support cradle??

(Sorry, I just have an aversion to dumbass simplistic comments)

ETA: The above commenter was correct, the empty seat isn't free. Fatty may not be getting charged for it directly, but everyone on the plane pays extra. When the airline can't sell a significant # of seats of the plane due to all the fattys, guess what happens. The price on all the rest of the seats goes up. Follow the money!!
