The guy in the stand off - involved in two other shootings.
ETA: Not sure why the downvotes, this is Matthew Lathers, who shot the three cops. Matthew Lathers was already wanted for attempted second-degree murder and armed robbery after Kenner police say he shot a man during a holdup on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.. He also shot two other people.

Sentenced to 10 years on an armed robbery in Orleans in 2013 so hasn't been out that long.
