Reasonable way to look at it, but the same front office I'm grading for this draft is responsible for trading away those picks. In my mind, there has to be a penalty. For example: After this weekends trades, Minnesota only has a 1 and a 5 next year - if you like those two picks do they get an A+? More picks also gives you more opportunities to screw up.

But didn't you give them the penalty for the draft where they traded those picks? Isn't part of the good draft grade of this year that you didn't trade away future assets. If you follow that logic, you're penalizing them for the same moves in 2 different drafts. Either penalize '23's grade for giving up '24 draft picks or penalize '24's. Otherwise your double dipping on your penalties.

Maybe. I don't know. I don't give draft grades like that. I just either like em or not. That's why none of this really matters. It's all just semantics. I really liked our draft, that's about all I'm capable of judging it on. I do, however, like seeing national guys/sites giving us A+s. And we really won't know about this class for another few years. But we can judge the process, and I really liked our process.

I'd like to know how the power was divided up. Who had the most input, who had any, actually, and who was the one that had the final say?
