B+. No reaches, no borrowing from next year's picks, addressed needs. No 3rd or 4th makes an A impossible.

Yeah high B simply because we couldn’t get enough players due to past moves, and we need a lot of young players. If our first two picks turn into high level starters then I think you could change it to an A in a couple years.

A solid B.
Addressed need. And no apparent screwups.

B-

Rattler is trash and won't start in the league. If he doesn't become an asset in the film room, he may end up being cut.

Ford was a reach.

Last guy is quintessential I'm smarter than you Saints pick with some off the wall OT from small school.

Bum WR is whatever.

First two picks I think were as solid as can be expected.

I give them an A -, Fuaga was a no brainer, Kool-Aid was a surprise but a huge value pick with an eye on the future. Rattler has the potential to make this an A plus class, his interviews after he was drafted showed me a QB that life has humbled. With his arm talent and maturity as a young man, it will be no surprise to see him be the Saints starter in a few years. I see Bub, Ford, & Boyd as depth pieces and Ezirim as a nice developmental project. With no 3rd or 4th rounders they chose well, and thankfully didn’t trade any of next year’s picks.

Still some holes at OL, says a lot when fans are suddenly wanting Peat back. Safety play has been bad since Marcus Williams left, last year it was horrible with nothing done to better the position. Lack of a pass rush kills our defense, nothing like watching a QB stand in the pocket for 6 or 7 seconds and no pressure. Maybe Chase Young answers that but he’s coming off of neck surgery.

Give us a B. Trying to fill needs without over reaching.

I melted pretty hard after the first couple picks but after sleeping a few nights and seeing the rest, I like it a lot more. This draft is absolutely slanted towards the future of the team and not 2024. I actually kinda like that - they took good players that might not really be an impact now.

Approach and value: A
No reaches - most guys were projected at or better than they went for.
Didn't tunnel vision on just needs when value far exceeded it (Kool aid mckinstry)
Approached future and present at the same time.

Picks were a mix of ceiling and floor guys

I think if I were giving it a grade I’d go B+. Glad we did give away all of next years picks while picking up a few starters on the roster

I give it a solid A-.

Top 2 picks are great and will be long term starters.

Rattler is a take a chance QB with upside. Will he flame out, who knows, but for a 5th, I'll take a chance at a future starter.

A lot of good things said about Means, so I'm sure willing to see if he can work his way into a top 4 receiver.

Ford, some sites had him as a 5th round pick, so why not. If he develops, awesome, if not, he played special teams at Texas, so maybe develops into stud ST player.

LOVE the Boyd pick. I think he is solid and if went to a big school would've been a much higher pick. Could he be terrible against the best, sure but for a 6th, I'm on board.

Developmental OT in the 7th, sure why not.

Multiple holes on the Saints roster point to years of poor drafts, bad trades and poor talent evaluation. They don't seem to have made those mistakes this year, at least not glaring ones

My grade is A. I am not a homer. Saints had great value for their selections. I think Saints add depth in multiple positions with 2 starters.

I’ll put it to you this way, if they draft like this for the next couple of years, they’ll be in a very good spot

A. Not trading future draft picks alone should be an A.

B+ to A

First draft in many years that didn’t leave me scratching my head for days.

Two of these guys pan out at positions of need and it’s a giant success.

If one of them turns out to be Rattler, it will be excellent.

Very optimistic post draft. It’s an unusual feeling.
