The guy was clearly playing it up for the camera.

I wonder if his chain is real? Chad Johnson admitted awhile back that when he played and would wear big gold chains it was all fake and he said not a single time did someone question him on it being fake. He said people just assumed that because he was a pro ball player it was real and said thats enough reason for people not to spend their money on jewelry. Why buy the real thing when you can buy something that looks just like it for a lot cheaper.

I'll keep my opinion to myself since it doesn't fit the narrative of the OP.
I'm not ready to admit that butchering the English language is "cool".

A couple years I would think so, NIL has changed things. Either way, he seems to have been raised right and a good head on his shoulders. Watching Chad Johnson on NightCap has definitely changed my opinion of him.

It wasn’t that bad, and he talks just like a lot of people from South Louisiana.

Some of you probably don't bat an eye when an ole Cajun "butchers" the English language. In fact, in all of the videos that were posted here over the past month from Peter Santenello, I can't recall a single person getting upset about the way any of the Cajuns in the video spoke. You could easily make an argument that several of them "butchered" the English language. What factors make that OK and this not? For SPT it appears to be race since he keeps bringing it up.
I and not defending Ebonics and I think Ebonics are ridiculous but the OP isn't that bad compared to a lot of what I have heard. It doesn't come of as thuggish and comes off as just how people in parts of South LA sound.

I thought it was pretty bad.
I made my living speaking into a mic for a long time, so maybe I'm biased, but good grief, that was terrible.
He seems like a genuine kid, but it's too bad no one had the gumption to teach him proper English.
They did him a disservice.

Nope, never said it did...
It just sounds like a poorly-educated person.
And as I said, his teachers have failed him.
IMO.

He makes videos for YouTube, one of the few that does it right. I think he did 5 videos in Louisiana, his newest video series is in Hawaii. He’s definitely worth checking out.

He's polite, humble, genuine, gracious, approachable, grounded, has good financial sense, parents who taught him life skills you can't learn in school, and was just drafted by the NFL. I think he's set and doing pretty well, even without your approval. I hope he continues to enjoy success. He seems the type that won't change too much from money and fame.
