They support the Dodgers and Lakers but that's about it.
the Angels routinely finish in the upper half in attendance

Also, compared to other major metro areas, its supports USC and UCLA to a decent degree

Chicago and NY
can't speak to NY but meh on Chicago. The Angels get better support than the White Sox and people just seem to forget that Chicago really didn't support the Blackhawks well for decades prior to their run in the 2010s

Ticket sales don't tell the story. The Chargers finish in the top half of NFL attendance too, because fans of opposing teams in town buy the tickets to see the team they want to root for or fans go to take a trip to LA along with seeing their team. Especially in division games, Raiders and Chiefs fans take that stadium over. The Raiders haven't been in LA in like 30 years but there's probably still a bigger Raiders presence in LA than either the Rams or Chargers.

Not really. They got behind USC when they had great teams and were winning titles, otherwise not so much.
I went to several UCLA games when I was there (lived in Pasadena). Always amazed at just how empty the stadium was even for conference games.

Because they couldn't watch the games.
