I've never been a credit card for everything type of guy. I don't even pay most bills with them other than a couple of streaming services. A lot of places charge fees now which makes it not worth it.

I have an AMEX cash back preferred card that I use for things that they have decent bonuses on (streaming, groceries, and gas mostly). It's free money I guess, but not really enough to move the needle for me.

It’s all about the sign up bonuses. I don’t give much thought into their category spend unless I can scale it.

As someone that doesn't know much about cc rewards, what do you do with the points? Travel rewards?

I mostly redeem for biz/first international travels

Yeah we have the Fidelity credit card which isn't advertised much, but it's 2% cash back on all purchases, no limit, and no annual fee. Just put everything on there except when there's an extra cc fee and then I pay cash.
