Sweetie, when the Japanese host the trophy in Louisville, then get back with me. I get your point, and i do want better breeding programs. Until racing gets rid of the "Zippitdy Do Dah , Mr Mint Julep on My Shoulder" old baw mentality, I'm afraid it's still going to be a flawed system. To be honest, I'm all for the Germany rule. No sire or or broodmare can have ever run on meds to be certified as far as breeding. I never was and still am a fan of drug free racing. I'd like to hear the point of Lasix?

It will when they start sending their horses over here as three year olds to run in the prep races.

I will say that this year is their best shot

Simply put, Japan has rich and powerful owners that buy studs and mares from all over the world. Also, their training regiment is vastly different from what Americans do. I will say this. Racing at Churchill Downs in the Kentucky Derby is vastly different than over there. Not that I'm saying is bad, but it's a completely different environment, and vice versa when Americans go. I've seen many bad rides by Japanese jockeys in this race over the years.

Rich Strike anyone?

My good buddy, Rich, was there in 2022 and threw $100 on Rich Strike to win for shites n giggles because it was his name. That 80-1 payout was nice. He’s back there again this year. Wish I could’ve joined them but a toddler now makes it a lot harder than it used to be when I went 4 times as I pleased.

Ironing out my picks/bets now and loading my Twin Spires account with cash money. After a few drinks later and track condition update, I’ll put them in.

Gonna be a great day today. Crawfish boil rolling into derby, rolling directly into Nuggets game 1. Wife gave me a hall pass for all of it.

Happy derby day msb

I’m on my way out to take care of the ulcer on my horse’s eye

I’m interested to see how the track changes as it dries. Still no clue how I’m betting.

They tried with that pretty black horse that ran second in the Santa Anita derby. I thought me might see more of that.

2,7,17 $4 Exacta box here.

2 bets to almost break even, 4 bets for glory.

I dropped the ball this year and didn’t study, but I always like to at least have something bet on the race.
