Worldwide there are many many varieties of rice...all colors and lengths.
Personally, I like the minimally milled "brown rice's" and have been cooking a lot recently within short grained... nuttier imo.
Purple rice may be better for you, and the Jazzmen brand used to be widely distributed...maybe not now. While colorful it tasted like...rice!
Peolpe should know that LSU Ag is a major player in rice breeding. Clearfield rice is a very major LSU advancement. Too bad that bags of rice on the store shelf don't always tell you the story.
