I bought one, but it is certainly not ideal. If I plug it in, the TV cuts the sound to the built-in speakers. I would prefer them to stay on (assuming the latency of the transmitter isn't too bad).

I can probably work around it by hooking up an amplifier for sound and then use one of the outputs from the amp to go to the bluetooth transmitter. Then I can keep the sound on in the living room from the speakers connected to the amp.

The goal is for me to be able to walk into the kitchen and back and still hear the TV sound.

To mdomingue and Zappa, my TV is a TCL ROKU TV and it does not support bluetooth headphones.
