Our D-line coach left before the season for personal reasons and BK didn't feel it was important to hire another one or was more loyal to his staff than his team. Hell, maybe no one in America would take the DL coaching job at LSU last August before the season started.

Our D-Line coach didn’t leave. He had a life threatening illness that caused him to miss the entire season.

How do you hire another D-Line coach right before the season starts when you already have one under contract???

It was a very difficult situation for everyone involved, and believe it or not, it was no one’s fault. It was just a really bad break for everyone.

BK did what he could, he promoted an analyst and hired Pete as a consultant. It was just a really unfortunate situation.

This new defensive staff will make a difference. I like Blake Baker and the whole front 7 coaching staff.

Wut? He didn't leave but he missed the entire season? Wut?

I never said it was BK's fault but moves could have been made. Lindsey left the team the day before fall camp opened and BK didn't hire another coach or bring in any help until October. He let the defensive line spiral down the drain for the first two months of the season and the result was on display for everyone to see.
