Murray ran for 1000 yards in one season, Penix 265 in 6 years

We’re talking about how they project to NFL, not how many yards they can pickup on the ground in their college offense against college defenses. Penix runs a sub 4.6 40 and is plenty good at extending plays with his feet. The fact Penix prefers an offense that keeps him in the pocket and prefers to throw over run supports the case he was a better prospect.

You said the following don’t try and move the goal posts

Murray isn’t that better athletically to make up for that.

What hogwash. “Preferring a pocket offense” does not make one a better prospect.

Again I have no problem with Penix, but it was a complete shocker that he was the 4th QB taken. Most had a 2nd round grade on him, maybe because of injuries but being able to play is important. He may turn out to be great but he was not a better “prospect” than guys taken 1 overall.

Just say you like him better, that’s perfectly fine to have as an opinion

the fact that Penix panics when his pocket isn't perfectly clean supports the case that he was, in fact, not.

You’ve never seen Michael Penix play football before.
