Presidential immunity is necessary

The President is like a mob boss.
He gives orders that:
Get people killed
steal from people
extort people
Theses are crimes he does in the interest of the U.S. It's just part of the job. It's why Carter was bad at the job.
There are 3 main categories of actions that a president can take:
1. Those in the interest of the country.
2. Those in the interest of him personally/politically.
3. Those that are both.
Only those in the second category are open to possible criminal charges. Category 1 and 3 get a pass every time.
President Trump alleged actions around January 6 were clearly category 1 or 3.
There were red flags everywhere around the election. He had to do what was needed to make sure a high-tech coup wasn't happening.
This was justified to try and keep America from a bad situation.
And looking bad, Joe Biden is definitely the worst of a bad situation.
Viva Trump!

Then if that is the case, you can't say we should uphold Christian values.
You can't have both.
You can't have both.

Nobody is arguing that the Executive shouldn't have limited immunity for official Executive acts, at least I don't think anyone is.

This is the heart of the SCOTUS ruling. The question they repeatedly asked the DOJ was “which body gets to decide personal acts vs official”.
The DOJ thinks they should get to decide, because that way they can continue their legal agenda against Trump.
SCOTUS is going to shut that down. They will send this back to the lower courts with instructions. Possible outcome is that the judicial branch will be responsible for deciding personal acts vs private.

Obama could be tried for treason for giving Iran 150 billion without going through Congress. Let the SCOTUS reject Trumps immunity and a GOP. It could come back to haunt the Dems.

Possible? More like "essentially guaranteed".
They already perform this role and have for a long time. The President is not the only government official to whom this immunity applies. This is just the first time the immunity has been litigated for a President within the criminal context (Nixon covered a lot of the civil areas involved).
I have no idea why the DOJ argued what it did, but federal courts have already covered this in detail.

Trump's actions were not solely for his personal benefit.
At worse it was dual purpose and dual purpose gets a pass.

It should be those in the best interest of the USA.
Should be nothing personal about any elected office, that is what leads to corruption

You're right we need to make sure Joe Biden gains clear legal immunity for everything he's done while in office.

Decisions that are good for the country are going to be good for him politically.
There is no way to separate them and that is why dual purpose decisions that are also crimes get a pass.
