Aside from the accents, how is South LA not Southern? Literally the same exact people, just different accents.

While south La likes to say North La isn’t “Louisiana” it is quintessential old South..at least from Ruston over to Tallulah. When I think south I think Mississippi/Alabama/South Georgia. In my mind I just can’t classify Texas as “southern” and Florida has too many snowbirds to be southern(my opinion)
