I use Asolos with Gore Tex as bird and turkey hunting boots. The models I have had have walked many miles and maintained their waterproofness. The last pair I had lasted 5 years before they started letting my feet get wet. You can usually find them on sale at backcountry or steep n cheap. Here’s my latest pair last week turkey hunting in the cold, and my feet stayed dry despite the melting ice:
