There isn’t one yet. The “your kid is going to get kicked out of the magnet school as soon as this passes” was just a scare tactic by Together Baton Rouge.

I thought schools were half the reason SG wanted to incorporate? Soon they’ll be fighting to stay in BR schools. Yeesh.

Negative ghost rider. EBRSS will have to turn over all the schools to St. George. This is where Central screwed up. EBRSS was slated to replace Central Middle. Once word got out that Central was trying to break away, EBRSS paused the project. Central got pennies on the dollar. If they would have let EBRSS build the school then become a city and school system, then a tax wouldn't have been required to build the new school. All public schools in the school district will have to be turned over to the new system. Now the DOJ will be involved in the school district limits. When SJ gets its own school system, the limits may go outside the city limits. There is a portion of Central school system that extends along Hooper to Foster. Idiots in Montecello and Shamrock Gardens screwed up because they were offered to be part of Central School system to show good faith of the discrimination lawsuit but decided not to join. Many don't realize GS Rd from Comite River to Sherwood Forest is Parish and not City of Baton Rouge.
