I read the controlling opinion only and didn’t see a damn thing about $250,000,000. You know why? Because the total amount the parish owed STG is unknown at the moment but you better believe all those sales taxes are going to have to be turned over in 75 days. So whatever the sales tax total is owed regardless.

The legacy costs are somewhere around $5-$6 million according to the opinion which cited an ordinance. So worst case scenario is $225,000,00 owed to STG.

Brett Furr can eat a dick. He shall forever be known as the attorney who wanted to disenfranchise 90,000 people. He doesn’t give a frick about the working man in STG while he collects his million dollars from his law firm. When you see him around STG, tell him to get the frick out of our city. He’s not welcome here.

Was it Furr or the other attorney whose stock response when someone brought up precedent before the SC “But no one cares about Central / Abita Springs / wherever!”?

Your legal argument being “frick you, we are more important than everyone!” ain’t gonna end well even after the case.
