I'm guessing not all of the Woodlawn kids live in the future StG? I guess they'll have to change schools at some point. Also, even though it's probably years down the road, I suspect that the StG kids in BR magnet schools will have to move as well.

Im thinking that all of the students who are there at Woodlawn from the the BR area currently get to stay because they were at the school before the ruling hit. From this date on, new students from BR area will not be allowed to attend the magnet program at Woodlawn. I think it will be St. George only.

Ascension is currently going through something kinda similar with Prairieville High and Dutchtown high. The students from the new Prairieville High zone thats currently going to Dutchtown thats about to be juniors and seniors have the option to finish at Dutchtown next year since they've been there since freshmen this fall. After they're done, that area will be Prairieville only and Dutchtown will be Geismer only.

Yeah, I live in the city of BR, and I’m zoned for Woodlawn Middle & High Schools, and that’s where my neighbor’s kids go - I wonder where her younger kids will go

This is totally wrong. This was addressed at the press conference this morning. There will be no school changes any time soon unless the EBRSS makes them.

SG is not yet in the school business.

Kind of the similar, but not really. Both of those schools are in the same district, only the attendance zones are changing.

Still, courts have routinely ruled for the least disruption to kids as possible. I would assume that an agreement would be made on a transitional period for students already attending classes in one school district when a new school district opens.
