We personally would never directly benefit from a new school system though. Our youngest kid is a JR.

Mine is still in daycare. This really wouldn't affect us much until maybe middle school (ideally elementary). I can justify spending on private school at the earlier ages, but there's no way I can fathom the idea of sending my kid to private high school with the price of tuition in EBR. It's outrageous.

Sure you would, property values. The values in central/Zachary exploded to the upside after the ISD's were formed.
