I would just do it. Chances are no cop will ever notice and on the off chance that they do and pull you over plead ignorance and promise to get that mess off his highway as soon as he lets you go....

I have not had a tag on our motorhome for over 9 years. Its registered but it doesn't have a tag on it. No one has ever said boo about it. I have NEVER had a tag on a boat trailer in any state I ever lived in or towed a boat. Never had any issues except once in Florida and all that came of it was they told me I needed a tag. Cops are pretty oblivious to what is going on around them...unless of course you are speeding or otherwise drawing attention to yourself...

You've never pulled them through Chatham. I think they've stopped being as aggressive but up until a few years ago they made a killing checking tags during hunting season and during the spring/summer when people were pulling boats to Caney Lake.
