Reported by who? No team tells people who they plan to draft. There were rumors and Mahomes apparently told KC he was hearing from other teams but the horseshite part is Payton really wanted him. Well it’s either horseshite or him saying he’s an idiot. This guy traded back into the first to get a RB, Ingram, he traded up for project DE but somehow he was just going to sit pat and if a QB he thought was the “best prospect he’s every seen” draft him? Sorry I’m not buying and I don’t even care what he maybe says now, that’s nothing but 20/20 hindsight.

ESPN, during the draft.... you know how they cut away to Schefter after some picks to give a little insight/analysis? yeah, they did that...
it has been known that we wanted Mahomes with our pick, but KC jumped us... how that all went down, dunno... but again, it was reported, on that very night, that we had plans of taking him with our pick, had he been there
