Not only childcare, but just when you are thinking you are doing well enough to where you think you may be able to afford a 3rd or 4th child, here comes 3x higher home insurance premiums or increased health insurance costs wiping out annual pay raises or inflationary pressures at the grocery store, etc.

I keep telling y'all that allowing all of the illegal immigration has nothing to do with votes. It has everything to do with Americans not getting married and having children to serve as an adequate tax base for our massive federal government, the most burdensome program of which is SS/Medicare. By far.
They have to pay for it some way. They are just importing families or people who they know will start families (and will do so on a lot less income than the Americans cubbies is trying to claim are prohibited from doing so by "conditions").

At 25? We didn't own our first home until 29. And we had to make lots of sacrifices to do so. The wife was driving a civic with 220k miles, my ford had less miles but more problems, no cable, no eating out, the free shitty phones, the couch we brought to our new home was a 40 dollar stained up couch that we threw a blanket over, 15 dollar compressed cardboard coffee table from Walmart that to be covered because spilt liquid would make it swell and contort. We had to slept on a mattress that I had since I was 5 or 6. Etc, etc, etc.
Towards the end of construction we were running out of money and had to do some of the easier jobs ourselves. I spent every weekend, 10hrs a day, putting in work during the last two months of construction.
Oh, and we don't live in the area we wanted. Couldn't afford it and came across a good deal on a lot (price was lowered by 5k to sell it quick).
It's doable, lots of people are still doing it.

Lots of people say what you just said until it finally gets through to them that "fixing our garbage government" means those two things go away first.

Our government has screwed up social security so bad by skimming the interest off to pay for their bullshite. I'm not even 35. I'll never see SS. I'd forfeit all I paid into it to never have to pay it again.
