BI never has been a pull-up 3-ball shooter, although he could be if he worked more at that aspect of his game. No coincidence that his 3PAs have decreased as Pels have him as a primary creator, with no traditional lead to set him up for catch-and-shoot where he's more comfortable. Counteracting the bully-ball by playing with force appears not to be an option he has right now so he has to find other ways to be effective.
