Tin was a widely used building material back in the day, especially for farm buildings

Yeah, I think everyone understands that. Not sure why I'm getting down votes. My question was more to is someone driving from Georgia to Louisiana to catch snakes and you think they just decided to walk into random places woods hoping to find tin? It looks more like the tin was placed out there (maybe years before) solely to find the snakes.

I have random tin on my property which I try to removing during winter because I don't like random trash on my land.
