I would check what this says about brick. I know that this works very well on painted wood siding that we have. Haven't tried brick.
I imagine you can just pressure wash brick no problem.

probably if you go easy, I'd be careful with the mortar and really high pressure though.

I've actually read that this is not a good idea unless you know there are no gaps/cracks/etc.
Pretty much have to fix all of those first or you risk pushing water between and behind the brick, or damaging any cracked mortar even more.
We have a brick home as well, and I pretty much just figured on using a giant arse brush and spend a nice Saturday working on it.
