Would this tactic work to rid myself of endless spam calls?

1. Get a new mobile number. Only give it to friends, family, and work contacts.

2. Port my existing number to Google Voice. Turn off notifications. Use this “old number” for anything that requires my phone number (online accounts, rewards programs, etc)

3. Profit???

4. Get Laid

If I accidentally pick up on a spammer (ie waiting on a call from a business or some such not saved in my phone so I take the chance) and I'm at home, I like to put some Slayer on full blast on my stereo speakers and hold the phone up to it. They usually get the message.
