People are conflating the semantics.

Hollywood isn't king any longer.
You are more likely to influence culture on a hot youtube channel than you are as an actor in silver screen movies.
You are more likely to be the talk of the office watercooler in a Netflix series than you are as an actor in silver screen movies.

Hollywood is still relevant to the discussion. But they aren't the highest form of art for popular entertainment any longer.

Joe Rogan is more trusted and more listened to than any journalist or news broadcast in the world.

People trust him more than anyone in the media (print, cable, or internet)

So people suggesting Hollywood is NOT over. . .well. . .
