OB board members,
Can anyone help with suggesting some local launches in the Golden Meadow, PAC, and Montegut areas?

I used to fish down there about 3 times a month out of various launches in the area, but since I moved away about 15 years ago, I’ve fallen out of touch and don’t know the condition(s) of most of the local area launches.

I used to launch out of several launches at the end of Hwy 55 (Bayou Terrebonne), one about a mile north of there, the Isle de Jean Charles (Mr Theo’s), and the Catfish Lake launch by the old Shell station on Hwy 3235.

Anyone have any advice on the condition of those launches or where I can look?

I’m about 7 hours away now and really can’t hop in my truck to find out. Internet research hasn’t been too productive either.

Thanks,
CS

Just to help out, here is WLF map. At the top you go to "Get on the Water" and then on the right you can add layers for Boat Launches and such.

LDWF Map LINK

BTW - if you havent been here in 15 years, that area is unrecognizable after the last few storms.

Thanks everyone.

AYC, thanks for the link! I figured everything has changed since the storms, so I was going to probably start with Catfish Lake. It's probably the most unchanged.

My wife has never caught a redfish and I'd like to get her a few. And even if we don't catch a lot, she's never been in the marsh.

Fishing the coast is the thing I miss the most.
