Side question- how long did your pond to fill and stay full?
I built one 1.25 acres last summer and it filled 2/3 full, i added minnows and it seeped/drained 90%. Now its up to 3/4 full, shallow end dry. The builder said it way fluctuate a bit at first and the drought didn't help. I hope its holding now.
Original question. Ponds shouldn't have crappie, only good sized lakes.
If/when mine holds water i'll go with a bass, and bluegill/shellcracker combo.
