So Mueller and Ziegler have consulted. We'll find out soon if the Saints really do have a little bit different of approach this year.

I'll believe it when I see it because Loomis sounded like the same old guy up there at the podium yesterday but at the same time you can't really tip your hand too much up there.

Mueller: You really should start exploring options to trade back for more picks?

did they want to stop by the aububon retirement village to pick up some more "consultants" while they are at it?

The wronged party from that incident is no longer alive. That was even pre-Gayle (they married in 2004).

I never really had a problem with Mueller. He took over the year after the Ricky Williams trade and had little to work with. He brought in Jeff Blake and Aaron Brooks who took us to our first playoff win. He traded Ricky Williams which got us back a good cache of picks.

He drafted, Darren Howard, Chad Morton, Marc Bulger, Deuce McAllister, Sedrick Hodge, Deonte’ Stallworth, Charles Grant and LeCharles Bentley. Not to mention fan favorite Onome Ojo!

He’s been out of the game a while though. Not sure why we would contact him now.

He hasn’t had an official title in NFL or even college in 6 years and is 62 years old.

You guys that hang onto every word said at press conferences can’t be helped. Stop listening to that shite. Do you honestly think they’re up there giving out pertinent information about draft strategy or who they might pick in the draft?

Come on man!!

Were the 2000 Saints the only or first team in NFL history to make the playoffs with a losing record at home? 5-3 on the road, 3-5 at home?

Actually when it comes to loomis yes. He isn't very smart. He needs to go.

The guy has a very antiquated way of looking at the draft.

I dont think that he is stupid. I think that his issue is that he picks low rated players that are drafted WAY too high (Davenport, Turner) to show the league that he outwitted them all and that he is SO much smarter than everybody else. That has backfired so many times to the detriment of the organization. However, he's here to stay because there is NO ONE in the organization that will fire him. Ole Tom, certainly played a joke on us leaving his hoe as the owner
