It's embarrassing for that group to be that weak in year 3. Say what you will about Les but his teams were always strong up the middle on both sides. That is the foundation and without a foundation you have nothing to build on.

This was true until 2014ish. One of the reasons Les got fired is because we started to see a big talent decline on the offensive and defensive lines in his final years and we lacked depth.

So good at recruiting guards and centers that he just gave up trying to get tackles worth a damn,.
