We'll be staying in the Roma Norte neighborhood for the weekend. Any recommended visits during our stay? So far got the Garibaldi Plaza, Xochimilco, and Fonda Margarita. Will definitely visit the Frida Kahlo Museum.

Since it isn't team USA playing there maybe you won't have to dodge piss bombs

Walk around Chapultepec and visit the National Museum of Anthropology. The Museum is basically Mexico's identity.

Contramar or their sister restaurant Entremar for seafood.

Cochinita pibil at El Turix.

Churros at El Moro.

Since you are going to Frida Kahlo (get tickets in advance if you haven't already), go to the Coyoacan Mercado.and get tostadas at Tostadas de Coyoacan. The Tolstoy Museum in Coyoacan is pretty neat too.

Agree with the Anthropology museum.

I was just in Mexico City this past weekend, stayed in Roma Norte. It’s a great neighborhood.

Get dinner at Rosetta one night, and get pastries at their pastry shop one morning as well.

Highly recommend Quintonil if you can get a reservation. Pujol as well. Also grab drinks at Licorería Limantour. It was ranked #7 on the Worlds Best Bars list for 2023.

Mexico City is incredible. You’ll have a great time.

For those implying that Mexico City is dangerous, you clearly haven’t been. Any neighborhood a tourist would be is clean and safe. Not once was I concerned walking around no matter what time it was. Houston and New Orleans could only dream of being as nice as Mexico City.

Between what you already want to do and the baseball games, it sounds like you have a full weekend as it is. If you have the time go to a wrestling match at Arena Mexico. It’s one of the most entertaining events that I’ve ever been to.

Roma Norte is a great neighborhood. Grab tacos at Carinito, which plays between SE Asian and Mexican flavors. There is also an "enclave" of taco stands near the border of Condesa, which are basically open 24 hours. My favorite is Taqueria Los Amigos. Had some good cocktails at Handshake (50 Best just listed as best bar in North America in '24), Maison Artemisia, Bar Felix and Licoreria Limantour (50 Best has it at No. 9 this year). Think it's, technically, Juarez but try to get a mezcal tasting at Gente de Mezcal and bring a bottle or two home. In the AM, grab a coffee at CUMBE or Cafelito and walk through Parque Mexico in Condesa - really nice park in an incredible, tree-lined neighborhood. A lot of cafes around the park.

Overall, great walking neighborhood and safe at almost any hour.

Love CDMX. Honestly, if you walk around Roma Norte and just find any number of restaurants with patios etc, you will be fine. Go to Chapultepec, Id say Teotihuacán as well.
