John Candy had a disagreement with the producers over how to play Louis. He wanted to be more of a cool guy but the producers wanted more of a nerd so that's what we got. Winston was supposed to be a bigger character and some sort of Army guy but that was changed when Eddie Murphy couldn't do it.

Belushi couldn't do the movie because he was dead.

It absolutely blew my mind as a teen when I read a "Making of" book that Lucille Ball & Groucho Marx were both considered/auditioned for Scarlett & Rhett in "Gone With The Wind." The pictures in the book of the young 20-something Lucy were pretty glamorous and convincing. Groucho, not so much.

True story.

She's hotter, but no one was salvaging that garbage.

Emily Blunt for Black Widow

Definitely feel ScarJo was a WAY Better choice.

Bale's portrayal is iconic, but I could see Leo also turning in an iconic performance.

Denzel Washington turned down the role of David Mills in Se7en. Washington turned down the role due to the shocking and demonic material in the script.

Has there ever been a movie that changed the trajectory of two actors more than MI:2? If Scott would have played Wolverine, would anyone ever noticed Hugh Jackman? Would Scott be the bigger star?

• Buddy Ebsen as The Tin Man
(Allergic to the makeup)

• James Caan as Michael Corleone
(Had to settle for Sonny)

• Annette Benning as Catwoman
(Got pregnant by Dick Tracy)

• Sean Young as Vicki Vale
(Broken arm)

• Dick Shawn as L'il Abner
(Dick Shawn was cast as L'il Abner and was told by his agent to take a vacation before the play started because he would be working non-stop for a year or two. While he was on vacation, the producers saw amateur Peter Palmer sing on Ed Sullivan and immediately called and hired him for the role. Palmer went on to portray L'il Abner in the film as well. Shawn spent the rest of his life telling people "I was laying on beach while they were giving my job to Peter Palmer!")

Scorsese said he initially offered the Role of Bill The Butcher to Tom Hanks because he didn't think DDL would come out of retirement. He later sent Leo to take DDL out to dinner in NYC to try and convince him to play the role. It worked.

Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly, he actually filmed a scene

I believe they filmed witb Stoltz for like a month.

And then they recast Jennifer bc the original actress (Melora Hardin) was taller than Fox.

??? He then did Fallen, The Bone Collector, Training Day, and Man on Fire after. Those all seem a bit demonic and/or shocking on par with Seven.

Sarah Polley was in line for Kate Hudson’s role in Almost Famous, but
a scheduling conflict prevented it.

Fairly certain his original gf was played by Jan from the Office. When he was bounced, so was she.

Bale was fantastic. But I would definitely watch this. Hell they could probably do a shot for shot remake and it would still feel like a different movie, but equally as good.

I thought she was hot as Jan, but a quick image search of her tells me she is actually a bona fide smoke show!

I think she'd've stood out more in The Rocketeer if Connelly wasn't already there drawing everyone's attention.
