You need to educate yourself about underwriting. The first year they charged the normal rate. If you didn’t have a claim that increases the odds that you’ll have a claim the next year. Another year with no claim raises them again. You are basis ticking time bomb. It’s all about probability.

Damn! I haven't had a claim since I started driving, in 1981. I should be paying about a billion per year by now.

So... the more wrecks you have, the cheaper your insurance should be.

You are getting downvoted into oblivion on this, but you aren't wrong.

My dad (RIP) was NEVER involved in an accident of any sort during his 62 years on the planet and NEVER got one single ticket.

At roughly age 59, he was shopping around to find a better deal than what he was getting with his current company and 2 different insurers flat out told him "NO" basically because "he was due to become a liability"
