You provide a logical fallacy as the basis for your support of Israel as a means to counter Iranian dominance in the region. Opposition of Iranian influence does not necessitate a bolstering of Israeli defense or making Israel's success a foundational principle of American interests in the region.

Put another way, bolstering Israel because they are the enemy of an enemy is a narrow approach to a complex region. There are numerous liabilities that come along with blanket approval and support of a partner who often acts unilaterally in ways that are detrimental to the interests of other countries who are necessary partners in countering Iranian influence.

If you support Israel because of the Scofield Bible and your personal approach to Zionism, say so. Making an arguement that Israel is the best means to counter Iran is disingenuous and false.
