Thanks JR, been looking forward to this trip for months. Our three kids are grown with either spouse or very significant other, and we have a strapping 5 yo grandson who can’t wait to go to the island. All of them will be with us for the week. Rented the night bow fishing charter for the grown kids. Gonna be a great week. Thanks for tips.

Everything the first poster said above. Few more tips:

Just before and during sunrise, I walk the beach and fish in the first trough with some success on top water. I like the she dog personally. Once sun is up I move out a bit.

In addition to looking for different areas of water, current lines etc, be on the lookout for different bottom. Sometimes I’ll find an area with a muddy bottom vs sandy or some Rocky/oyster shellfish bottom. Fish over those different non sandy bottom areas.

Don’t try to climb the rocks. It’s a great way to hurt yourself. But definitely fish near and around them.
