Throwing people in jail for marijuana while allowing alcohol to be part of the states culture seems so stupid and evil.

Don't forget that if you get sentenced for a felony there's no parole anymore in La. That was passed and signed by Dear Leader last month.

That shite isn't happening. There are drug courts with diversion all over the state.

This is worse than gun bans pushed by democrats? Worse than cafe standards for automobiles? Worse than a host of enviromental regulations democrats place on day to day life?

Louisiana will be one of, if not the, last states to legalize rec weed.

Of course. Hell we were the final state in the south to pass constitutional carry. Every state surrounding us had CC. fricking Vermont and New Hampshire even had it before Louisiana.

Lobbies and special interests run this state pretty much like no other. No doubt all the usual suspects have their hands in this... sheriff's association, DA association, alcohol lobby, etc.

I can only be thankful that the freedom loving legislature cares about us little citizens enough to tell us what we can do and tell us what is best for us.

Next we will find out that they care about us so much that they will protect us from such hazards by taking our property without conviction solely on a hunch that we might be ingesting such poisons.

I feel safe now.

it's incredible how many people really think the reason their lives are the way they are is because of the party in power and if they only can get theirr guys in there then eeverrything will turn around and be great.

they're all selling you out.

Are you fricking kidding me????

Booby Jindal passed a law that allows you to be detained, kidnapped and strapped to a chair and have your BLOOD DRAWN from you if a corrupt arse cop SUSPECTS you of driving under the influence. THAT is some fricked up shite and the biggest infringement on rights/freedoms we've ever experienced.

Well stated! As bad as the Democrats are in office, which is really bad, these evangelical Republican chucklefricks we keep putting into office both at the state and national level aren't doing us or the party any favors either. The state is washing away, infrastructure is in bad shape, businesses are leaving the state in droves, pogey boats are ravaging the fisheries, but yeah top priority needs to be banning porn and hemp gummies. Solid work guys.

Spend 15 minutes in downtown nola and you’ll quickly see that no one is getting arrested for marijuana

It’s essentially legal

But will you still be able to do that, or will those states no longer ship to LA?
