The lowest ranked offensive lineman coming in and was literally a last minute add before early signing day. Plenty of depth in that room currently and the '25 class Brad Davis is putting together is going to be elite. They will be fine

I saw this guy in person a few months ago.
Just does not pass the eye test.
No way he is 6-4 300 lbs.

Meh, one thing I would bet the house on is that Cryer did not come to LSU spring training and say to himself he is too good to be here. He doesn’t see himself playing is what I would guess. Better for LSU if he cuts ties early.

I beleive we offered Cryer about two weeks after either Marcus Mascoll or Blake Ivy chose different schools. ***
They were considered to be leans to us at one time for IOL.
They chose Uf and atm and we wanted depth at IOL.
It looked like a stretch at the time and just came to fruition last night.
I think he saw that there was no path for him and they the staff wants room. I don’t think we will ad OL as we proved that we can recruit there. We may want to take a flier on another DL, or get the punter or RB we need.
***btw, getting Weston Davis was a coup that I didn’t see coming. I thought we had a shot and then he committed to atm. Then he came back to his senses and this potentially softens the blow of losing Lance Heard.
And I don’t really care if anyone says he wasn’t good enough to supplant Jones/Campbell. Heard is a great OL and provided that Uga-Style depth we’ve been wanting. Again. Glad to have gotten Weston.
