re: I still prefer instant grits

I need to cook more "regular" grits. I almost always end up baking mine with cheese, garlic and eggs mixed in so that they're more "cakelike" like a garlic cheese polenta than traditional grits. But that's because I'm usually making them for a potluck, and they serve more easily that way.
