I got prescribed traz a couple of weeks ago, hesitated to take it then when i did a couple times it didn't help. Is it something that takes a few times to kick in or should it work right away

I only take it if i havent fallen asleep naturally over an hour. I take it about 2-3 times a week.I found that it started working the first time I took it. In fact, I remember it being too strong the first few times until my body got used to it. But I've been Rx the same 50 mg for 3 years. Never had to increase dose
