I get that but if your option is going to Paris with a 10 month old or not going to Paris, the calculation changes. Otherwise you are just going to end up at home with a 10 month old.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Paris has the Olympics this summer (regular and special), they also have a lot of angry third worlders living in a couple of arronsidments and they like to burn cars among other things.
Paris will probably still shut down for their vacations for the month of August.
