Whoever drafts Maason Smith is getting a bust. He’s awful. You might as well draft Chris Davenport.

Al Woods was a much better player for LSU than Maason Smith was

And he was drafted in the 4th.... not the 2nd.

So in other words you can't walk and chew gum at the same time! The NFL draft is this week! LSU gymnastic team won the NC yesterday but hey, it's baseball season. It's baseball season so only post about a poor LSU baseball team. If you find this topic of no interest, don't participate. Obviously a bunch of posters are just as interested as I am and have given their own thoughts.

I just don't see Maason Smith going as high as some have said. This draft is so deep with talent that has produced. There's so many solid players at WR, Oline, and RB that wont be taken until the third round just b/c there's only 32 picks a round.

If he does, good for him, I hope he has a solid injury-free career.

Smith will go in the 2nd Rd, 3rd at the latest. He's in every respectable draft pundit's top 50 and like you said, is garnering top 30 visits from several clubs.

I guess they just completely glossed over the abundant film of him getting shoved around all season long.

True. Smith has tools but can’t figure out how to use them. No effort no motivation will be two years on a practice squad then minor league summer ball after.

If Smith makes it in the NFL I will be happily surprised. He got mauled consistently this year.

NFL scouts are more interested in measurables, which how you get Mitch Trbisky and Ryan Leaf's of the world. Maason looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

Smith will go earlier than that based on potential alone.
