Ditto on 4 lb and Mepps and Panther Martin spinners
One thing about Panther Martin spinners is that they twist your line so use a swivel and if water clarity prevents that let your line unwind every few casts.

I have heard this but never had an issue.....uness the wire shaft was bent by catching so many damned fish. I tie them directly with a improved clinch knot....cast them upstream and kind of across the current....fish them just fast enough to feel the blade turning. I have never had a problem with line twist but I know most people do....
